What to Expect on Your Visit to Rejoice Fellowship

Worship at Rejoice Fellowship

Who? We welcome all people to worship with us!
Where? Although our congregation is based in Glen Burnie, while our building is under construction, we are worshiping in the Fellowship Hall at St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 W Maple Road, Linthicum Heights, MD, 21090. You may also join worship remotely via Facebook Live.
When? Worship starts at 10am on Sundays.
What? We follow a simple pattern of worship - Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending. We are gathered together in worship, we hear and read from Scripture, we receive a sermon from Pastor Madeline Tallman or a guest preacher, we are fed and nourished through Holy Communion, and we are sent back into the world renewed.
Why? As a church of the ELCA, we believe that worship is a central part of the life of faith. We gather together to receive God's Word and experience God in the communion meal before we are sent out to be God's presence in the world. The communion table is God's table, and we welcome all to come and be fed.
How?  We follow the Centers for Disease Control’s Community Level for Anne Arundel County to determine whether a mask is required or optional in our worship space. If the Community Level on any given Sunday is Low or Medium, wearing a mask will be optional. If the Community Level is High, all people who enter our worship space will need to wear a mask. A mask will be provided if anyone doesn’t have one. As you enter our space, there will be a sign on the door and on the welcome table indicating the Community Level for that day and if a mask is optional or required. We continue to ask all worshipers to sign in to enable contact tracing in the event of COVID-19 exposure.
